Who we are

Imperia Technical Services is the electrical services business run by Carlo Baggio. Carlo is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect and why

When you contact Imperia by phone or email, we may receive your name, contact details, address or postcode and the information you provide about the work. We use this to respond, prepare a quote, arrange work and provide the services you request. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract.

When you submit the quote form, the details you enter are delivered to Carlo by email using Resend, an email delivery service, and a confirmation email is sent to the address you provide. The website itself does not keep a copy of what you type. Resend processes the message content in order to deliver it; its handling of that data is described in Resend's own privacy notice.

The website displays genuine customer recommendations posted publicly on Imperia’s Facebook page. This may include the reviewer’s public name and the words they posted. The lawful basis is Imperia’s legitimate interest in showing customer feedback. You can ask for a review attributed to you to be removed.

You are not legally required to provide personal information. However, without enough contact and job information, Carlo may not be able to respond, prepare a quote or carry out the work.

Vercel, the website host, may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of access in security and server logs. The lawful basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and available.

Cookies

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies, and it does not use browser storage to track you. Because no non-essential cookies are set, there is no cookie consent banner. If that changes, this notice and the website’s consent controls will be updated before non-essential cookies are used.

Who handles your information

Your enquiries are handled by Carlo. Email is provided by Microsoft and the website is hosted by Vercel. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services. Information may also be shared with professional advisers, insurers or authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. Imperia does not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, the transfer is protected using a recognised legal safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and job correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to respond, carry out and guarantee the work, deal with any dispute, and meet legal, tax, accounting and insurance obligations. Retention is reviewed and information that is no longer needed is deleted securely.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, and to object to how it is used. There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this website.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Carlo using the details above to exercise your rights.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
